we were at a party tonight. i had taken two bites of my cupcake and nora came and asked for a bite. i told her i don't share cupcakes. she said, in front of everyone, "God likes it when we share. it makes Him happy". awesome. then i had to share! actually, i gave her the rest and got a new one! worked out better for me anyway!!
meanwhile, tonight we were on the way home from the party. she really wanted to finish watching the movie at the party, so i told her we could invite her friend over to watch the movie someday. she told me, "okay, i will get out the dvd and hand it to you and you will put it in, but don't drop it because it will break and that will make me sad and jamey sad. and the rhino can break the dvd's and the rhino can break our car and break our house (and there almost seemed to be tears at this point), and the rhino can break jamey... " and she went on for several minutes about the rhino. david and i can't figure it out.
she enjoyed watching a little clip of a song from "beauty and the beast" today. there is a line at the end where mrs. potts tells chip "sshhh, i'll tell you when you're older". nora has loved that quote all day. so i said it to her and she told me, "i'm not older until my birthday." yup, that's true!!
