so, i took a TON of pics today. okay, lori took a ton on my camera, too! we went to a parade, then had a gloriously relaxing afternoon at her house while the girls played outside and the boys slept. and, i left my camera at her house. so, i'll upload those pics tomorrow... the cute ones of jamey being so excited about the band in the parade, and nora solemnly holding her hand over her heart for the national anthem. both my kids in red, white and blue. my tear filled eyes as i watched the parade, and my kids, with pride. for who my kids are. for who their daddy is. for the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the military. and for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom. it was a good day. and WORE my kids out. so far, no ice cream or movies tomorrow... (privileges taken away before bed...) at least they are sleeping!!!

so, we have had a great day! playing euchre, rook, euchre, more euchre. church was great. both kids took great naps. i got to chat with my hubby earlier in the day, instead of just at night. i snuggled with my sick baby. she started feeling better. i read a book and enjoyed the sun. a great day!

so, daddy is in hawaii... he was on the beach today. i am A LOT jealous! i got to chat with him for awhile tonight. it was so wonderful! we are settling into life here. jamey will say he still wants to go home. nora says it, but she means mom-mom's home. it's been fun!

it's weird how different circumstances are. last year, i missed david SO MUCH. and i got to see him almost every weekend. this time, i miss him like crazy, but i am not craving seeing him like i was... (that sounds bad.... what i mean is, i think i know i can't see him, so i don't think about it. last year, there just was that opportunity, so it was so much easier to miss him... navy wives, you get it, right?) and, it's only been two weeks... and it's been a BUSY two weeks!

david was asking me about my sewing projects... i have a lot lined up for the summer.... i just need to get motivated.

last weekend at stef's bachelorette party... me and my byssa girl!

a series of posts...

i spent the afternoon at urgent care with nora girl. she had a 103.2 temp AFTER 2 popsicles and 2 cups of water... but, she was better after some motrin and was herself at dinner tonight! and, now we have antibiotics for her. don't worry... the side effects only happen to 47% of people. that's what the handout told me. PHEW... so reassuring...

this was after we called to get a doctor's appointment earlier this week and they told me they couldn't see my sick child for the first appointment... i had to come do a well child appointment first! sweet... so when the urgent care doc told me to follow up with my primary care doctor, i was a little hesitant!

my kids on a walk the other day... i bought jamey's pants years ago, i think i was still preggers, and they were SUPER CHEAP on sale! i bribed the kids with popsicles to go on a walk!

the other day, i was catching up on the phone with a friend, and found SEVEN 500 and 1000 piece puzzles on the floor... i sorted through those SEVEN puzzles and managed to get (i think) all the pieces put back!

mmm... my great caregivers! actually, i was in charge, and he just wanted to be with mom-mom and pop-pop. in fact, he routinely tells me to go away so he can have mom-mom!

new dresses...

so, i bought this fabric the other day... it cost $16.04. and i got two dresses out of it! aren't they fun?? i had "sewing club" with my girlfriends last night, and my sweet friend louisa serged them for me. it took less than 5 minutes, to measure, cut and serge! it was SO COOL! and, i loved my sewing club girls! it was so nice to have some fun girl time!

so, the other night, tornadoes struck again, just after i put the kid down! i could really use the alarms going off about 5 minutes earlier! that would be super helpful! thankfully, no tornadoes, just crazy rain and hail! in fact, i might have to use an arc to get around from now on... speaking of transportation, my bro and i are sharing a car this summer... it's been fun! (actually worked out well so far) ours is on a boat to our new home!

and, speaking of new home... we found out yesterday that we are #2 on the wait list!! who hoo!!! so, come visit!! my kids are also loving sleeping in the same bedroom, so i am foreseeing a sewing room for me! at least for a little while.

david's birthday was yesterday. our sweet friends, the b's, took him out to duke's for dinner. i LOVE duke's. i am a little jealous! okay, a lot! plus, they have the beach. i love my 30 year old husband!

and the winner is...

we think we have a house in hawaii... or at least a general area! since i found out we were going to hawaii, i have wanted to live in a certain community on base. (by on base, i mean the housing community that the military has contracted out to a privatized company- think a rental property manager) and, david looked at 7 different homes, weighed each one, their area, and when we could move in, and the community i wanted won!! we are number 3 on the wait list, so hopefully it won't be too long! (less than 90 days would be best, because the the navy will store our stuff for that long. after that, we have to figure out what to do with it!) due to a variety of circumstances, i ended up getting exactly what i wanted in there! THANK YOU, LORD!

also, that's a pic of our new car!! my sweet hubby bought it for us this week... i think the color matches my car! aren't we cute... he has been a busy man. (and i am so thankful for him!) (oh, and my bro retouched the pic for me, since i don't know how to do that!!) thank you all for your prayers!

life here... it's been fun hanging out with lori and her kids again! and my mom and bro. although, i think my baby girl is sick... sore throat, tummy ache, fever. bad news for us!

that's all i got for tonight. i will pull out my camera this week, and take pics of the kids for you all! but tonight, i am going to bed early! and i am going to read a chapter of the Bible to chat with my hubs about....

and some girl friends came to visit on saturday night... i miss my san diego girls!

on sunday, we got to see jennie (my high school friend) and her hubby in la. and meet her new baby girl!!!

and got to visit julia and peter at biola. jules is byssa's best friend and peter is david's cousin! so fun!!

we played around a bit in the production room... david was doing the weather!

after a day at a day spa, we got to visit the graves. so much fun to see them!!!

and then, i got to go visit chels and her boys in salt lake city!!! SO MUCH FUN! i got to hold the baby all 48 hours i was there!

and see the snow!!!

and then come home and see my babies! i took the kids to the park, and jamey just wanted to read his veggie tales book!!!

okay, so i got back on thursday night. friday started my sissy's bachelorette weekend... i thought i would have time to post on friday. but i spent the day on the phone, changing and canceling plane tickets for hawaii. God worked things out AMAZINGLY! i don't have to pay any extra to fly out of cleveland, even for my bags. at one point, i thought it would be over $1200 plus paying for 2 bags each... how great is that!

and then, changing our location, etc for insurance. it was CRAZY! then, the weekend started. it was so much fun. we had such a good time. so fun to hang out with so many friends and family.

david is in hawaii. when he wakes up, in a few hours, he will start looking for houses. and, after two landlords who haven't been fair, i am a little anxious about renting again! and, instead of feeling like my snowglobe is settling, it currently feels like it's being shaken up again!
