still here. no pics yet today. i have to use the other computer for that. but still fun. jamey enjoyed crawling in the pool today (it has one of those beach type entries...). he kept going too deep and then inhaling the water. both kids passed out this afternoon. all the sun is great for the naps. the awesome thing is that we are finally getting adjusted to our "beach" schedule and it's almost time to go home! sad.
lori got here today. she's bummed her kids aren't here. i'm bummed mine are!!! (just kidding. ) the last time we were on this beach together, we were two husbands and four kids ago. planning her wedding. it's such a weird time warp! so much fun to have her here. the boys and stef are golfing. byssa got a little sun today (i asked nora what color byssa was... she told me red!). almost dinner time...
i have realized that i love vacation. and i love my kids. but the two combine are a new experience! it's more work in a lot of ways in a new place. less work because i don't have to clean up after us too much (hello housekeeping!!!) or make meals (thank you restaurants and mom-mom who makes us lunches!!!). but, new schedule, new place, new big girl bed to try to get out of, new routine, new sounds...
don't get me wrong. it's great! and nora is being SO GREAT staying in her bed. we fought a battle over it a bit last night (i won...), but for the most part, for a 2 1/2 year old, she's awesome! and jamey, too. it's just a different scenario than being young, single and free! i have to make sure that two other people are fed, bedded, etc. (but, i do have a ton of help... aunties and an uncle and mom-mom and pop-pop) anyway, all that to say it's a new experience! and i wouldn't trade it for the world. too soon, they will be off doing their own thing. nora has already made a few friends at the pool and is so sad when they aren't there to play with!!!
