so much fun!

chris and his best buddy... sleeping through lunch!

who me?  yup, i'm so big!  check me out!!!

reading "the cat and the hat".  again, so big!  she had a pretty traumatic reading experience last week.  she told me she was the "only one" in her "whole class" who was a green reader (the lowest level).  and she was "never going to read".  the next day, she was flying through this book!  i love her determination!  she even had me ask the teacher for extra homework to practice the readers from school!  she is LOVING reading!  skype with us and she'll show you how good she is!!

her picture the other day.  she and daddy and jamey are in the middle.  the just went down the slide at pop-pop's hotel.  my mom and i are laying out on the left.  sweet...

we needed somewhere to put him the other day where he couldn't fall.  we were at our friends' for dinner as they were moving in!  this worked so well!!!

i put the phone up and he smiled.  like he WANTED his pic taken!  i love this baby!!  he's been a little sick, and a little cranky.  my thought is teething.  but, even the boot camp childcare workers noticed!  and he's not even been that cranky!  he's just usually so happy!!

i wish i could make you understand how HUGE this guy was.  no joke, he was at least as long as my index finger.  not including legs and antennae.  at least it was in the garage!!  (and yes, that's nora's new surf board!!)

we have been living it up with linds here.  it's been so fun, and so relaxing.  we are mixing good "touristy" days with good "lazy" days!  and i have been forgetting my camera.

nora and james are both really liking school.  they both always say they don't want to go, but love it every time.  it's been (well, still is) a huge adjustment for nora to go every day.  but she loves it.  and her teacher is wonderful!  she is doing so much, and so well.  she is at a great age!  she rises to the challenge and still totally loves school.  she doesn't really get the social games yet and that part is still so easy!  but, we definitely have our range of female emotions!

james loves his class.  i love that it has more structure than last year (but loved last year for him...).  he is in sissy's class from last year and i think that's fun for him.

the kids seem to have this "thing" going.  when one is acting up or out, the other is an angel!  most days.  it's so funny to watch.  and if you call out the good behavior, the "bad" one gets so offended.  and says, "you don't love me".  it's been entertaining to watch.

on the flip side, we heard sirens today.  there were several fire/ems trucks going down our street.  nora looks at me and says, "mommy, we need to pray for them."  and she did.  oh, i am so thankful that they at least absorb SOME of what i try to get in their heads!!!
