after nora got her ears pierced on saturday, we got new school shoes... james got sperry's and nora got hot pink toms'. james even said, "this is my sad face". not sure why he was sad.

more with the babe. i sent this to david, and he asked how the baby got so big!!!
the other day, she asked to make her own lunch. and she did. awesome!

first day of school...
not sure how he got so big!!
the whole way to school, he begged to be home schooled. and said he didn't want to go. (mind you, he is at the same school, in nora's class last year, knows the teacher... we even talked about going to a closer school- only 2 blocks away versus 5 minutes- but kept him there cause the boy doesn't like change....) we got there. he walked in and didn't even blink. he went and played with play dough and sat at his table and i had to go find him to say goodbye! i was so proud that he was so excited about it.
nora's kindergarten orientation was this morning. again, i could have cried! she did such a good job. and i REALLY like her teacher and the school. and remember BEING in kindergarten, so i am SO NOT sure how i HAVE a kindergartner!!
the other night, i was cleaning her ears (we have to do it three times a day, and i WARNED her it would hurt, and we would still HAVE to do it, and she still wanted her ears pierced!). i heard her muttering under her breath, "i wanted my ears pierced, i wanted my ears pierced"! it was so cute!!!
