the north shore...

brothers... and big boy unders!!
sleepy baby...
snugs!!
my mom, chris and i took a trip to the north shore on thursday to see the big waves!  they were supposedly 15-18 feet that day, bigger the day before!  (david said they were rocking and rolling while they were out last week!)
watching.

how cool is that!!

there was a group of about 10 surfers out there!

the ocean amazes me!!
christopher and i loved the beach!
more of the beach...

it was great having my mom here.  and really great once i really started to feel like i could get out of the house.  christopher and i are working on a schedule.  it's going well so far!  we occasionally feed in the car (not while drive, obviously!).  but, we are getting the hang of this thing.  friday morning was my first day... all by myself.  it went really well.  i cleaned up the house and got some projects started.  the kids were great... and we even made it out of the house to go get dinner!

it's so fun to see the different personalities come out.  nora is such a mother.  such the oldest girl.  but she is so content to "snuggle" you by being in the same vicinity as you.  she loves having her back tickle scratched, and i got her a dry erase board to practice writing letters on this weekend (it has the lined things, like kindergarten), and she hasn't put it down!

jamey is so laid back.  he loves to be as close to you as possible.  he doesn't like being tickle scratched.  just rub for him.  he FINALLY is getting the hang of this whole potty training thing.  it "MIGHT" be easier than nora...  we have had two full dry days!!  (although, as i was on the phone telling my MIL how great it was going, the kids came downstairs to tell me he had peed on the floor... awesome!)

oh, nora told me today...  boys don't get flowers.  the just give them to the girls they like.

good girl, nora!!!

she was also praying tonight before bed.  "dear Jesus, thank you that we had fun without daddy.  thank you that we had MORE fun with daddy!"  how sweet.
