operation Christmas child...

my child got new jammies.  with "socks".  he loves them.  and begs to wear them all the time!  (we don't have footie jammies for him, because james couldn't wear them because of his club feet...  so now we do!)

nora and james' friend decided he wanted to do 100 Christmas child boxes (boxes filled with goodies that go to kids all over the world who wouldn't otherwise get Christmas).  so, his parents helped him.  and we filled over 100 boxes...  the kids had a blast picking out toys to go in the boxes.

david was a packing machine...

look at all those boxes!!!

j got a new lego.  d helped him put it together.  guess who had more fun?  (answer- it's a toss up...  d gets as excited as j right now with new legos!)  and a first for us... this lego is still in one piece.  several weeks later!  (they usually only last hours!)

we were told to bring in a pumpkin for thanksgiving for school.  look what nora's teacher did with it!  it's a turkey...  only in hawaii!  so cute...

david passed a huge inspection on the ship that he (and the rest of the crew) have been preparing for for over 18 months.  d was the lead coordinator, and everyone keeps telling me what a great job he did!  (thanks for letting me toot his horn!  i know how great he is, but it's always fun when everyone else agrees!!)  it's a huge weight off his shoulders and a relief to be done with it.  they look at how the ship is, material wise.  how the nuts and bolts are.  how the systems function.  etc.  PAINFUL!

this weekend was a BUSY one.  i didn't mean to have so much scheduled, but it all crept up on me.  i am trying to be better, the rest of the Christmas season, to NOT have so much scheduled.  but, we had fun!  family pictures, Christmas parties, etc.

stay tuned for our Christmas cards.... ordered them yesterday!!!
