sacrifice...

my babies this morning. they got up, nora got dressed, came downstairs and got themselves apples to eat. they were so cute!!!

we had a new babysitter come by tonight to meet the kids. the kids LOVED her. and she made crowns out of some weeds for their heads. the LOVED it!

we met up with friends at mickey d's for dinner. a great way to get to chat and get some energy expended!!

i was unpacking boxes last night. i found this book that david got at his last job. "seal: the unspoken sacrifice". i read it this morning with tears in my eyes. as i scrolled through what to watch tonight, the discovery show "bud/s" was on. it's the hell week episode. the teams have been on my heart and mind recently. i have dear friends that serve. i know dear friends have lost their dear friends. wives have lost husbands. kids have lost their dads. mothers have lost their sons. it was incredible to read this book and be reminded of what the seals especially go through. to read the quotes from the families. to watch videos online of wives and families that recently lost their loved ones. what sacrifice. selfless. wow. thank you.
