her take!
what a fun day. we got up a little early... and rushed out the door anyway, to get to the early service at church. then, david and i worked in the nursery. we then rushed home to host Easter brunch! it was so much fun. a bunch of friends who didn't have family around. nine adults, 6 kids. everyone left around 3:30, and then we just played outside.
david found a squirt gun and had fun with that. i found a water bottle and chased him around the yard. nora and james didn't quite know what to make with that. later, nora wanted us to play in her room with her. then, she told us to stay on the bed and she would be back!! we had to laugh. she is too cute!
james is talking a bit more. it's cute to hear him say "dada" (still his preference) and a version of book. it's so much fun!!
nora usually loves church. however, there is a teacher in her class that she is not loving. this teacher has been a source of strife in our house. and all i get from her is that the teacher is disappointed and makes nora sad. last night, when talking about going to church tomorrow, nora said she didn't want to go. we talked about it, and she went in to her class just fine. when asked how it was afterwards, she said, "teacher x wasn't there". that's all she said about class today. i am not sure what to do. i mean, it could be as simple as the teacher being stern or yelling at nora one day, and now she doesn't like her. (had her feelings hurt, or something)
last week, when i dropped nora off, she started to cry, because the teacher was right there. oh, what to do...
church this morning, however, was great for us! we sang several hymns written by some friends, and it was fun to know the hearts of the people who wrote them, then to sing these wonderful Easter hymns! (keith and kristyn getty, if you are wondering... check them out!!!) great worship, great sermon, great day! "see, what a morning!!!"
