laugh/cry

16 weeks...  and a new lilly dress!

beach day with friends.

this kid.  makes me smile!  and gets away with everything!

a painting party for friends!

watching the brownies.  (i am wearing a browns shirt...)  d dvr-ed it, and didn't check fb/espn/scores so we could watch it after kids were in bed tonight.  so, we are snuggled up on the couch watching!  can i say i love october in football... the pink makes it so fun to watch!  

have you ever had a laugh/cry?  david had never experienced it till he met me.  i have decided there are a few common occurances.  you are laughing so hysterically that you start crying.  you are hormonal and start crying as you laugh.  what you are laughing at is also so pathetic that you start crying.  

it happened to me the other night.  c had been acting off at dinner, and we just put him right in bed.  he was coughing, and at one point, i sent d up to make sure he wasn't puking in bed.  he wasn't.  

when we went up to bed later that night, c started crying.  i went in and picked him up.  i carried him over to the rocker and snuggled him.  no sooner had he laid his head down that he, you guessed it, puked all over me.  the way i was sitting (and the way it was oozing down my chest), i couldn't get up with chris on me and NOT make it worse.  so, i started calling for d.  but, he was in our bathroom getting ready for bed.  and when you turn on the light in our bathroom, the fan goes on, so he couldn't hear me.

i am getting louder.  not caring at this point if the other two wake up (they didn't, thankfully).  d came in, and about threw up.  but took c, got him undressed, and then took c and my clothes to the wash as c and i got cleaned off.  but, as i was trying to clean off, i started in to the laugh/cry.  and when i do, d just stares at me... not sure what to do!  c also just stared at me!!

wonderfully, the next morning, c was MUCH better.  back to normal.  but, i have a laughable memory etched in my brain!

it's the kids fall break... we have been having a blast!  we have done the beach twice- once with j's buddy, once with n's.  and a painting party.  the kids had a BLAST!  this one was super impromptu, but we want to do it again!
