snot nosed kids...

we have had a lot of snot in our house this week...  the focal point of this pic was the peanut butter sandwich the kid absconded with...   i found him several bites in.  good to know... he's not allergic!

this kid has a weird ability to keep things on his head.  he walked around with this hat on all day.  and said, "i'm a little fella..."  he's hilarious!

despite fevers, puking and an ear infection, we seem to be on the mend.  it was fun to have a week to just slow down...

well, due to different standard changes, they have cancelled my boot camp class indefinitely.  they are working to change it, but i cannot even tell you how sad i am!  outside of church, it is the one thing in my life that all else was scheduled around.  it was my 3 hours a week to be sane.  and to work out without kids.  and get a great work out!  i am hopeful that something can be changed, but it is so frustrating right now...  

and james has an ear infection.  and has been fiesty because his ear hurts.  poor thing.

and i cut the back of c's hair.  about an inch off...  not sure it's even...  since he was moving as i did it...

five couples went out and we had a blast!  we watched the friday night fireworks on the beach and just enjoyed hanging out!

kids were sick this week.  which meant i was forced to stay home.  that doesn't happen often.  monday, wednesday and friday i do boot camp.  thursday is bible study.  wednesday is mops.  so monday and friday i usually have something planned in the two hours between getting nora and finishing boot camp.  which leaves tuesday.  to grocery shop.  have coffee.  get my hair done.  go to the mall with only one kid.  get an oil change.  surf.  do something I want to do!  so tuesday fills up!

so today, i took nora to school, and threw the boys in the stroller.  i went as long as they would let me, which wasn't long enough.  came home and put c in bed while j and i laid on the couch.  then, got inspired to organize the playroom.  again.  cause they can't seem to keep it clean.  which led to organizing all the toys in the house.  and throwing out a lot of junk.  

the best part was that the cleaning lady came today, too!  so not only is the house picked up and organized, but it's also sparkling!  

i then attempted to do the grocery store.  only to be met by fits from all three.  so we mailed in the tax forms.  and vacuumed and washed the car.  phew...  and it was only 3:30 pm!  a wonderful friend offered to grocery shop for me, but that seemed way too complicated!  so i asked if she would sit with my car while i ran in and left the kids watching a movie!  (that way, no one had to be exposed to anything and i could still shop!)  she did... so pantry is full, dinner was made, kids are in bed.  a good day...  if only they would feel better...

i have so many pics i want to post from this weekend, but these pics were already uploaded.  and then there are the pics that will only exist in my head.  like a spontaneous trip to the mall with a new friend, top down in the convertible!  (hers, not mine!)  it was a fun day, with mostly preplanned purchases...  namely a new pair of running shoes for me!

we have had a great weekend... fellowship group after our fun afternoon with daddy on friday.  saturday morning was an early 10k, with a PR for me!  and, we got to support some friends.  more on that later!  i spent the rest of the day lounging, with a quick trip to target and a new dress!!

then, out on a "date" with the rest of the wardroom.  it was fun to see everyone, and to be with my man!  and we hung out with our sitter for awhile after...  she is a friend of a friend, and i really enjoy her!  plus, i loved hearing this morning how she prayed with the kids, and the things they did... from the kids!

chris had a fever yesterday and i think he's getting some new teeth.  i woke him up from a 4.5 hour nap yesterday, only to have him go back to bed at 5:15pm, and wake up this morning at 7:15am!  good boy.. and two two hour naps today!

daddy did nursery duty at church while chris and i stayed home.  i got some serious projects done... making good use of keeping chris home from church.  then the aforementioned spontaneous girls day.  a fun new friend and a fun weekend.  

cleaning mode mommy came out while the kids cleaned up from their fun weekend.  they are currently getting ready for bed, and i am going to go snuggle them and enjoy the rest of my sunday!  happy sunday/monday everyone!

we had conferences today, and then daddy took us to lunch.  nora excels at reading... no shocker there! and is having a great time in class.  it was fun to hear all the good things about her.  while we were conferring, the kids were playing in the classroom.  james took daddy's cover, put it on, grabbed the pointer and started "teaching".  so cute...

we have had a busy week.  just being.  (and sewing... more on that later!)  catching up on life.  hanging out with old friends.  making new ones.  making a mess of the house.  cleaning it up.  folding six loads of laundry.  and putting them all away.
