naptime...

nora enjoyed my uggs... it was finally ugg weather!

james worked himself back into his corner. and then got mad that he couldn't get out!

double fisting it..

she thought she was so funny! so highly entertaining!

james is taking an almost four hour nap. and nora just told me to leave her room so she could keep napping (she came out a minute later). my kids obviously needed sleep!!!

one more thing..

forgot to add... james is 18 pounds 10 ounces and 27 inches long! crazy, huh?? that's 85th and 82nd percentile... my sweet baby boy!

in case you weren't keeping track, that means he's gained 2 ounces since surgery a month ago... and that was WITH casts on! so, it's even more than that!!! (i would guess the casts were between 2-3 pounds)

goal...

david taught nora how to kick the soccer ball through the opening in her play house. then, to run around shouting "goooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll"! she loves to do it! it was quite fun to watch.

so, another doctor's appointment today... james' six month. get there 30 min early (knowing they usually take FOREVER and we had to be out by 11am). and... they didn't have me scheduled. at all. ever. for his six month. now, it was in my phone, because i made the appt at his 3 month and put the date/time in my phone calendar so i wouldn't forget or lose the paper they give you. and it wasn't made. and my doctor was out of town. so, they said they would fit me in. i waited two hours and had to pay $3 in parking fees and NEVER got seen.

the doctor just called to apologize. and wants me to reschedule. cause i want to go back! anyway... that was our day. but the kids were, again, angels. awesome.

the end... thanks for listening. just a video today because i am too lazy to upload my pictures. james babbles all the time. he is ALL OVER the floor, rolling and whatnot. he can get up on all fours and rock. i am remembering what it's like to have a mobile baby. and not have little pieces all over the house! inspires me to have a cleaner house.

nora loves jeffrey. she copies him in everything! last night she asked for her "weppie" (what jeffrey calls his blanket). nora doesn't have a blanket. or weppie. but jeffrey had one, so she wanted one. so cute!

btw... nora now gets on the potty by herself... and does it all by herself!

too cool...

nora got some new "cool dudes' the other day (we can't find her old pair... sad.). she was sporting them on the way to church on sunday. we got there, and i reversed the order of drop off. usually it's nora then james. but, i wanted to be able to take nora potty, so i dropped off james first. nora was quite distraught. finally, she understood that james was just going first. then, she practically DRAGGED me to her room and kept saying "that's not it" about the wrong rooms. when we got to her sunday school room, she said "here it is!!!" she got so excited! i love that she is that excited about it!

today, i had a physical. changed my insurance, so it was with a new doctor. i figured i would pull out the big guns, since i had both kids. it didn't seem like that big of a deal to take them both, and i don't want to abuse friends who offer to watch them, or pay for a baby-sitter for something this simple. so, we all went. i pulled in to the doctor's office and felt like i got a look of horror!

never fear... those big guns. i brought along our dvd player! nora got to watch a WHOLE dvd (jungle book... which is affectionately known as "mowgli" since the word jungle is scary) in the amount of time it took to check-in, wait and wait, and then be seen. (yes, that's practically 90 minutes...) anyway, the kids were awesome! james took a great nap, and nora got sucked in to the dvd! (then i fed her apple chips and hop-hops... must have looked like the worst mom in the world)

her reward? trader joe's! she LOVES shopping there and HATES when we go anywhere else (could be that tj's offers treats when kids find the green monkey). poor thing doesn't understand that not all grocery stores have the green monkey!!

lastly... can i give a shout out to aunt lu. thanks for so faithfully reading my blog! i love you... and we are praying for you today. nora sends lots of kisses!!! she prayed for you before her nap!

fire department

jumping in the bouncy house... one of nora's favorite things to do (jump)

walking with kayden...

spraying the fire hose. by the way, she told me "no thankyou" when i asked if i could put something in her hair to keep it out of her eyes... that's why there are so many bangs! but, she said it so sweetly, i had to honor it!

hopefully the only time they are in the back of a cruiser.

so, we were at the fire department for an open house. nora loved it!!

she got to do her favorite thing in the world... drive the firetruck!!!

her earphones...

nora and daddy...

me and my babies!!

nora's "pet"... a cricket she and daddy caught... thanks so much!!

cute baby girl. i love her! (and her awesome pink converse! kinda jealous. i might want some...)

taking a cheese... and again, looking so cute! (again, clothed by others!!)

nora's new crown, that she so kindly shared with her brother!

i was changing james bed this morning, and asked nora to entertain her brother. she started reading to him. i was sure that if i left to go get the video camera, she would be done. but, i walked out of the room to go wash of james' diaper, and she was still reading... so, grabbed the vc and caught it! it's so much fun how much she loves her brother! he was sad in the bath tonight, and david walked in and nora told james "it's okay, daddy's here". umm, i was there all along! but, daddy makes it better!!

friends...

all the friends today!!! a fun, random playdate!

storytime with daddy before bed!!

our first foray into food. avo in a mesh bag! he just enjoyed being able to chew something!

so... we think we have rented our condo for a few months. we have someone moving in next week for probably 3-6 months! yeah for that!!

the end....

my little boy... a few days old.

and today... NO MORE CASTS!!! (ever.)

you don't even want to know how long his toenails are!!

in the middle of that fold, you can see one tiny stitch. that's all there was!!!

waiting to be fitted for his new $95 shoes!!! (when i get fitted for shoes like that... or think about it, cause i don't get shoes like that very often... i am in nordstrom. this was a little different!)

"talking on the phone" to mom-mom while she waited.

sitting up, almost! he can almost do it without the casts on!!

cheese... entertainment in the doctor's office. the shoe guy forgot about us, so they had to call him over from his office, which took about an hour! awesome. and so not nordstrom! but, we got the shoes and the kids were good!!!

at home... after baths!!! (james needed one!) she was jealous that james was getting all the "cheese".

didn't stop her from snuggling and playing with him. i was making myself lunch, and i could hear them both laughing so hard! it was so fun.

i come in to see this... my BIG boy!! and no casts on his legs, playing with his sister. could make you cry! (he had a hard time putting his feet down... they stayed mostly bent up like with casts on!)

don't let this face fool you... he's not a fan of the new shoes. pretty sure he screamed harder and louder than he ever has! could break a mom's heart.

but, he only has to wear the shoes for 18 hours a day!!! that's so awesome!

so, this morning, we had Bible study right after james' appointment. so, i was making nora breakfast and lunch and getting ready to get out the door. i quickly handed her breakfast and went back to making mine and her lunch. all of a sudden, i hear her saying "thank-you dear Jesus for all the oatmeal on my tray". what a blessing!!
