the sunset- love this view on the way to our house!
there's so much to say. it's been a BUSY week. but a good busy. we took sadie to the beach with friends and their dog yesterday. and my phone was full, so no pictures. and i had my "real" camera in the car, but it was a walk to the beach, and with a baby on me, one holding my hand and a dog leash, and the bag of food, i left the camera. so, i have those memories treasured in my mind. it was such a wonderful morning.
we have been really settling in and getting involved. it's been so wonderful. it's a GREAT mix of old and new friends and that makes it so wonderfully nice. (yes, i have just used the word "wonderful" like three times.... oh and there, i said "like". sweet... don't judge the grammar!)
david's family is so close, and it makes it fun to see them quite often! we went to maine last weekend for a last summer visit. the kids spent the days in the (freezing cold) water and were exhausted at the end. i (don't know if i mentioned, but i am coordinating our mom's group and i) had a lot of time to prepare for this year. it was lovely. even some true quiet time with God. i missed that today, as my time with Him involved a crying baby and three kids jumping on me.
i used to think that it had to be quiet, without kids, for XXXX amount of time to make it worthwhile. so i wouldn't try, because there was no getting that. i am trying to make time, when i can, for that. but getting up before my kids would involve an ungodly hour and a cranky, tired momma. i am much more refreshed this way!
(and, reading my Bible makes it much less likely that i will yell at them for interrupting me!!!)
