i don't know if i have ever shared our whole "how we met" story.  and i am not today, but, we met and got married in 6 months.  part of that was because i was going to deploy about a year after we met.  and we knew we wanted to get married.  and, like they say in "when harry met sally", "when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible".  

well, in early june 2005, david had some long underways, then i had a pre-deployment training.  which meant, we only saw each other for a day and a half in there.  (and that day and a half was spent flying to ohio, and me turning around and flying right back- i was supposed to stay for a wedding…)  we had just decided to get married!  and for david's underways, i wrote him a letter for each day.  when i left him in ohio to fly back for my training, he handed me a stack of letters- one for each day i was gone.  

i just found those letters tonight.  i wasn't looking for them.  i knew i had them somewhere.  and as i was cleaning, i found them.  they are filled with such young love and such promise.  it was so much fun to read them and to go back to that time.  without a care.  with all the hopes and dreams for what's to come.  with the passion and love.  and overwhelming sappiness!  (and i loved every line!!!)  

they are precious to me, because his words are as true today, 9 years later, as they were then.  and it was fun to be reminded of the man he was then and how he has grown into the man he is now.  i go to bed tonight with the biggest smile on my face!  so thankful that God has blessed me with this man….

and sorry that you had to endure my sappiness!  but at least you got some old pics out of it!!!
