the girls really enjoyed playing house in the pool house!
at the zoo, the biggest hit was a stage. the girls got up and starting screaming "worship". they performed a worship concert. which consisted of the word worship over and over! at least they get the point!!!
okay, maybe ben and jerry's was the biggest hit!!
sewing night... we made all three of those pillows!!!
sisters in chicago. loved stef's new place!!
sleepover at the thomas'. the four kids loved the bathtub together!! blackmail for later.
jamey at the zoo... enjoying his cookie!
topping the list as my new favorite thing!!!
that's our life here for now. we are down to days, not weeks or months left here. quite sad. and exciting! ironically, in setting things up for the new house, i found out that direct tv with the nfl package is cheapest for tv viewing options. so, david gets the nfl package this year! happy day for david!!
technically, we take residency today of our new house. we will actually move in mid-october. still working on our date with the moving company. i took a roadtrip to chicago this past weekend to visit stef. on the way home, it might shock you, but the highway got shut down for several hours! story of my life in road trips this summer!! i should start to post when i am going away, so you all know when NOT to travel!!
one of the things i want to instill in my daughter is the ability to go to the bathroom wherever, when needed. it took me awhile to be comfortable with that side of camping. well, never fear, i have mastered the art of peeing in a cup while inside the car with 60 miles worth of my closest friends stopped with me! (think, big rig stopped next to me, peering down at me) and no one saw anything!! fun times. oh, did i mention twice that happened. we started moving at one point, and before i could stop to go to the bathroom, we stopped again. all said, i think i was stopped for about 3 hours. the guy in the aforementioned big rig just walked to the side of the highway and did his business. behind a tree, thinking he was hiding. at least, i think that's what he did. i stopped looking when i saw him circling the tree! i didn't need to see anymore than that!
ahh the joys of traveling. that's the one good thing about airline travel. at least you can always pee somewhere! but, it's really been fun to drive everywhere this summer. and listen to books on tape.
