my girl...
she loves her new knitting. it's fun to watch her knit- she's really gotten in to it!!!
so, we had to explain snow days to our kids yesterday. grammie was supposed to stick around for another day, but with the n'oreaster coming, she headed home. nora was concerned grammie might miss her play tomorrow, but we told nora that there would be no play if there wasn't school. they just weren't getting the concept. canceling school for snow??? we have had just over 2 inches combined this winter.
well, they finally caught on. and were disappointed to realize they had to go to school today, before the blizzard hits! oh, sweet hawaii kids!!!
well, it's started to snow. and the island is in a state of panic as they fill their cars with gas, lines spilling in to the street and causing traffic jams. grocery stores are out of food. water bottles are on sale. flashlights are the end caps.
i think we are all set. i heard that power went out for a week last year, and that's my only concern. otherwise, snow is snow!! i have dealt with that before. school is cancelled tomorrow, so we plan to be sledding!!! looking forward to a big sledding day!!! (maybe get a sitter for the babies!)
meanwhile, we are trying to rearrange everything we had planned for this week (closing on our new house, etc!!!). but, the snow is coming down. we shall see!!!
i am kind of excited about a big snow! and what this crazy, rearranged week has to offer! i got selected for a VIP training with ava anderson, so i have a few phone calls for that, and another party! and the NEW HOUSE closing!! yay for that. MOPS and Bible study may or may not round out our week, depending on snowmageddon.
