we surprised auntie sarah with a big, family birthday party in a sweet little park in boston a few weekends ago.  it was so fun!!!

and, we also just finished the first week of school.  other than a hiccup with buses (i.e., the put james on the wrong bus home the first day of school and nora got off the bus by herself.  i was not happy!  thankfully, j didn't know anything was wrong, till he saw my tears of joy when he got off his other bus...  ).  they are loving their teachers and their friends.  it's been a fun start to the year. 

except, i miss my kids!!!  

and chris has decided he likes to go potty on the potty.  sometimes.  i should really buckle down and potty train!!  we have had a kid (or two) in diapers for over 7 years now. can't wait till that part of this season of life is over!!!  (sad that it will mean my babies are growing up...  so i am not rushing it!!)

in other news, lil b started food this week!!!  he's enjoying it...  a big week for everyone!!
