what i can tell you is...

sweet boys...  jamey SO DESPERATELY wanted to hold christohper.  and couldn't take his eyes off the show...

he wouldn't let us take christopher from him!

nora got to feed c his first bottle this weekend!  both kids did GREAT!  

jamey had dry pull-ups most of the day (until RIGHT BEFORE BED...).  but, mom-mom got him a woody hat today!  jamey is wanting to potty train, i think... here's hoping!

sweet boy got his first bath tonight!!!  he was not a fan!

so, christopher failed his first three hearing tests.  today, we had a big diagnostic exam.  they wanted him awake for the 4 hours prior.  and hungry.  it was not fun!  but, once he got there, they wanted him to SLEEP!  that was good!  

anyway, the exam was 3 hours.  and really didn't tell us a whole lot more.  it appears that there is some disconnect between his cochlea and his brain stem.  but they can't tell how big, or what it will do.  we just have to wait and see.  it's called and auditory neuropathy.  i haven't even googled it yet!  (she did tell me that he isn't a normal presentation of this.  and there is a WHOLE spectrum of possibilities...)  

so, what she could tell me was that they can't tell me anything!  comforting, i think?  also, we went into this thinking it was just one ear, but it appears that it is both ears.  and one of the tests he failed two weeks ago... he passed today.  they are a little confused by him.  

so we wait and see.  and continue to trust that God created him and knows best.  and knows exactly what is wrong with him!  (or not...)  she also told me that it could get better or worse as he gets older.  (again, they can't tell me anything)  but, i continue to be so impressed by the staff at this hospital.
