34 weeks... and counting!

it's been a long week. and a good week. i was just talking to david about the lack of intentionality in my life. i was reading gitz's blog, and several years ago, she decided to do one little word. i loved the idea, and thought i would copy it. i was telling david earlier this week that my word for 2012 will be intentional. there is so much i want to be intentional in. (and there will be another post on this one!!!)

however, i then went to MOPS. the speaker was asking if we were the kind of person who had a plan, or who spent the day just putting out fires. i feel like i spend the day putting out fires, doing whatever comes next, and not being very intentional. thanks, God, for confirming that desire in my life! i am tired, so i nap. but then stuff doesn't get done, that needs to, or that i just want to. another thing she said was a quote. and now i can't remember who originally said it, but basically, "if you make a choice FOR one thing, you are making a choice AGAINST another". i might not necessarily be making a conscious choice NOT to do the laundry or play with my kids, but i AM making a choice to sleep. or vice versa. and none of those are bad things. i am growing a human inside me. i have laundry. i have two other kids who want my attention.

i also have sewing i want to do. time to spend with God. dishes to do. dinner to make. meals to plan. letters to write. good things! anyway, it was very convicting!

then, we had david's Christmas party this week! it was so much fun. i got to wear a bridesmaid dress from a sweet girl's wedding. and LOVED it. and had a blast dancing with my husband. (although i told him, it's either like junior high where we stand so far apart due to the aforementioned human in-between us, or like a catholic school dance... the Holy Spirit has room to be between us!!!) AND... we won an atv tour at this cool destination here. super stoked about it, since it's not something we would necessarily do otherwise!

now off to a lunch/shower some friends are throwing for christopher and me! oh, speaking of, he is GREAT! they said he was 5 1/2 pounds, about 56% right now. my placenta is (still) out of the way, and he is (again) head down! and, still has a TON of hair! he was also sucking on his umbilical cord while she was doing the ultrasound!! so sweet. i can't wait to kiss that little face...
