today, the kids are at school- sans costumes.  they don't wear them on halloween here.  it's a bummer.

we took my parents to the corn maze and pumpkin patch when they were here.  it was a blast!!!  the kids loved leading the way (and even wandering off on their own into dead ends as directed by daddy!).  it was fun to remember being there four years ago, when kids were so much littler (and less of them!).  

chris started swimming lessons today.  so, all three big ones are in something at the same time.  it's so much fun!  he really did a a good job.  james enjoyed cheering him on!

i let him fall asleep twice today. it was so fun to just rock him!!!

so, i LOVE to blog.  i love the memories it holds for me.  i love sharing my life with the three of you that read it!  i also hope that some day my kids might read it and enjoy it.  i have been following a blogger, kara, and she has cancer.  she was sharing the videos that she is making for her kids.  i hope my kids look at this the same!

life is busy.  i keep waiting for it to slow down.  and it hasn't yet.  i think it just might not.  but the kids are in swimming (j) and gymnastics (n).  they are both doing really well at it and it's fun to watch!

it's cooled off this week.  60s and rainy.  we are enjoying it.  but, may have to turn on the heater soon!  

tonight we skyped with some friends!  it was so much fun!  i don't know why we don't do it more with friends that don't live near us anymore.  (actually, these friends never lived near us!  d's academy roommate and his wife!)   it made the world feel just a little bit smaller!
