a dining out.  a formal dinner for the destroyer squadron.  it was quite fun!!!

sweet boy busted his lip.  twice.  in one day.  and should have totally gotten stitches, but i didn't see the second cut until later!  i thought he just resplit the first one...  poor boy.  thankfully it was better the next day!  glad the mouth heals so fast!

i asked james about life today.  he said he didn't know about it.  at least he's honest!

and i feel like i keep apologizing to people about how "busy" these two months have been as i get adjusted to school...  and life.  and i keep waiting for it to slow down.  and it's dawning on me that it might NOT slow down.  that this is life.  this IS our new normal.  and i love it.  it's just busy!  school.  gymnastics.  soccer.  anything else we choose to add!  it's good.  just adjusting!

i drove to pick j up from a playdate today.  to get there, i had to pass the arizona memorial, the utah memorial and the uss missouri.  it struck me, as it does so often, that this is such an historic area.  and what a privilege it is to live here.  and i REALLY TRY NOT to take it for granted!!!

their team is young.  it's a growing year for them.  but they sure have fun out there!  a goal before the end of the season would be fun!  but, wonderfully, nora doesn't notice.  and she has a blast!

today was one of those days where everything just went well.  i haven't had one in awhile.  i skipped boot camp, because it was our first day of MOPS.  and it went well!  i have been even more involved with the planning and set up this year, and i was so happy with the turnout.  then, i got a bunch of "work" done for MOPS after...  figuring out emails/facebook/evites for the group, ordering supplies for our next meeting, etc.  it was great!  

then, picked up nora, we cleaned up the house and hit the pool!  it's so fun to have three kids that enjoy the pool so much!  c is totally awesome in his "puddlejumper", swimming all around the pool!  we got home, to a clean house, and had spontaneously invited friends over for leftovers.  i bathed the kids quickly, then we heated up leftovers... it just went well.  

daddy is reading to the kids now...  and i remembered to blog!  so, enjoy...  i am today!

she got a star keiki award... for having a birthday in july.  but it's always fun to be celebrated.  

sorry for the hiatus.  a busy week of planning another mom's painting night, shower, Bible study and then a formal dinner for david's work.  oh and david was gone, so i did all the gymnastics/soccer/school driving!  (not complaining, but it just is busy!)

c will wrap his arms around my legs when he wants up.  it's so sweet.  and he is my only kid that will (at least for now) transfer, sleeping, from the car to the crib!  it works out so well for school pick ups.  

nora was helping c drink his milk this week, and she said, "aww, this makes me think of when i used to hold you and feed you.  they grow up so fast"!  it was so cute!!!

james and i were snuggling the other day and the topic of him growing up came up.  he has told me before that he's going to live next to me.  i told him i was okay with him growing up as long as he lived next to me.  then i asked, "what if your wife doesn't want to?'.  he said, "it's okay, as the man, i make the rules, so if i want to live there, we will."  (sorry future wife!!!)  he thought for a second and then said, "or, we could just live across the street".  a good compromise, i thought!  it was so cute!!!  

(and don't worry, future wife, i won't hold him to that promise!!!)
